How This Mindset Shift Helped My Work From Home

A Work from home alternative you may not have tried

So much happened in the last year. I have been working in an IT services company since 2002. I had not expected I would experiment and innovate in the ways I work as much as I did in the past year. I am sharing with you one recent innovation I did in this article.

I have been through those days when I used to work on desktops. I would have to travel to the office if I had some urgent work over the weekend because I didn’t have the laptop. Just imagine. So much had changed in recent years.

Until last year, whenever I used to work from home, I would wonder how nice it would be if I could work like that forever. When this actually happened last year, I was so happy, but like most people, I also jumped into this new mode of working and living without giving much thought.

Soon, I experienced some problems.

It is only when I started jogging every morning; I started following a structured routine. If I had left it without giving much thought, it would have been even worse.

Last month, I traveled to my native as kids wanted to spend time at Grandma’s place. Since the house over here was not so conducive for working, I had to figure out a way to work effectively.

While I could work from anywhere, I realized working from this house was not possible for various reasons. It is an old house and joint family kind of structure and was not conducive to a full day working.
