Going all in on the Checklist Manifesto to come up with a personal Operating Manual.

An idea I’ve been refining for the last couple years is to go all in on the checklist manifesto. All of us have a few checklists. But I think there is a tipping point where you have enough checklists and enough habits built around those checklists that working from the list becomes a way of life.

So for the last couple years I’ve been gathering and testing personal checklists. Some are for work. Some are for exercise. Some are truly pedantic. For example I have a list to remind me what purpose each of my pockets serves: cell phone in left front pants, keys & money in right front pants, doggie backs in left coat/vest, anything else in right coat/vest. No more patting myself down trying to remember where I put my keys.
